BURTON TRANSIT'S SERVICES
When you book with Burton Transit, LLC, we coordinate your passenger ground transportation needs as detailed in your reservation. Here’s how it works:

2. Carrier Responsibility: These carriers will use their own vehicles and drivers to provide the transportation services.
3. Liability: Burton Transit is not liable for any loss or damage to passengers or their personal property while under the care of these carriers, unless it is solely due to our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
4. Additional Costs: As the client, you are responsible for any extra costs, cancellation fees, rate adjustments, or other charges incurred due to changes or additions to the reservation. You are also responsible for tolls, parking, fuel surcharges, and tariff adjustments. These additional costs will be charged to the credit card on file.
RESERVATIONS
When you book with Burton Transit, the rate provided is an initial estimate. Your final cost may change based on your actual itinerary, including wait time and parking. Taxes and surcharges (such as service fees, tolls, and fuel charges) will be included in your rate quote. Gratuities and holiday surcharges are calculated on the base fare and added to the final total.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT U.S. HOURS OF SERVICE RULES
Just like airline pilots, our vehicle drivers are strictly governed by federal law regarding hours of service.*
Here’s what you should know:
- Drivers can drive up to 10 hours, then must have 8 hours off duty before driving again.
- They may work up to 15 hours, including both driving and non-driving duties. After 15 hours, they must have 8 hours off duty.
- Drivers can work up to 70 hours in any 8-day period, including driving and non-driving tasks. They cannot drive after reaching this limit.
Exceeding these limits can result in:
- Immediate suspension of service during roadside inspections, causing significant delays while a new driver is arranged.
- Increased safety risks due to driver fatigue, impacting the entire group’s well-being.
- Penalties for drivers and our company, possibly including criminal charges, jeopardizing their careers.
Please do not ask your driver to break these laws by altering your schedule. Your group’s safety depends on it.
Compliance with Department of Transportation/Multi-Day Trips
1. Trip Planning: Drivers must have a complete itinerary before departure to comply with DOT regulations. This includes all stops, addresses, and times where the vehicle is needed. Changes may require additional charges.
2. Equipment Substitution: We reserve the right to use alternative equipment if necessary.
3. Additional Costs: Clients are responsible for entrance fees, parking, and tolls, which will be charged to the provided credit card.
4. Accommodations: Clients must arrange and cover costs for driver accommodations and parking when applicable.
